Can I install sheetrock right over existing sheetrock? - DIY Home ...

Junior Member ? Join Date: Oct 2009 Posts: 21	Hello again, I don't want to tear the ceiling out of this room, there is blown-in insulation in the attic. Can I just sheetrock right over the old sheetrock? I don't want to use strapping, I don't want the ceiling any lower than it is.
