The 5th Edition of the ?International Spring Orchestra Festival? the annual Orchestral Concert starts this year from Tuesday the 26th of April to Saturday the 30th of April 2011 and has another fantastic line up of Maltese and International musicians this year.
This years? Orchestral Festival is being held primarily at the Manoel Theatre in the Ancient Port City of Valletta, with the opening concert held at the Piazza Tigne, Sliema with the Rotterdam Ensemble. Karl Fiorini is the 31 year-old Paris based composer, who is directing the concert.
There is a varied exciting and enticing program to look forward to during the festival, notable pieces includes? Shostakovich?s Piano concerto No1 and Bartok?s Divertimento for Strings among many others. Concerts are held daily, certain days have two concerts on their schedule contact and bookings can be made through the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.
